The Brogden Family Christmas

barbed wire shaped into a tree

Bill found an ancient coil of barbed wire undoubtedly dating back to when this was all pasture. With not too many wire accidents he shaped it into a tree and decorated it with lights. Rebecca found the parrot lights and added them. Note the Norwegian Blue kipping on its back.

Festive Concrete Basset

The front door always gets a seasonal treatment. That face is an antique bronze intended for a fountain.

Festive Concrete Basset

I bet you didn't realize that all Basset breeders are required to have a concrete Basset at the door. Here is ours all decorated for Christmas.

holiday stump decorated for xmas

We dug out a moribund plum tree to make room for a pond but the stump was too interesting to burn so it has become a "holiday tree" to be decorated according to the season. It is visible from the road - we wonder what the neighbors think. The face selected for Halloween will be a permanent fixture - the bunny ears for Easter should look good on him.

This is the pond that replaced the tree.

Basset waiting for S. Claus

Our neighbors go in for big light displays, we just decorate the gates. Jack appears to be waiting for Santa without much enthusiasm.
