Opera Browser

You don't have to use Microsoft's browser if you don't want to. Opera is fast and has many convenience features that I like. I love to use it when visiting www.microsoft.com. The only disadvantage I have found so far it that the implementation of JavaScript is not perfect.

CuteHTML Pro HTML Editor

This has turned out to be really helpful and I've only been using it a few days. The integrated support (with extensive help) for JavaScript and CSS is great and there are lots of other features I have just begun to explore. I really like their CuteFTP product also. Very reasonably priced - at the CuteHTML Pro site.

The UltraEdit-32 Programmer's editor

I've sworn off IDEs and only use UltraEdit for editing and project control with ANT for build and test execution control. The ability to edit HUGE binary files in HEX mode has been a life-saver from time to time. Download from the UltraEdit site.
