Yes folks, a Basset can do AKC Agility exercises.

Daphne came to us as a rescue puppy. It was a cold winter so we kept her in the house instead of the rescue's pen - and you can just guess what happened. She turned out to be one of the smartest dogs we have ever owned and she loves to do agility.

Here is Rebecca putting Daphne over the A frame obstacle.


Below is Daphne at a 1997 show doing the tire obstacle. Over that one weekend show, Daphne and Rebecca got 2 legs in standard agility and one in Jumpers With Weaves. Including 2 first place finishes in the 12" class!


Here is another tire jump picture. I just love the way her ears curl up.

Daphne is no longer with us - we miss her every day.
